The Zayed International Foundation for the Environment opened its 2025 Environmental Art Exhibition today in Dubai. The event is called “Art and the Environment – A Sustainable Impact on Humanity and Earth.” It runs from May 25 to May 31 at the Historica Auction Hall in Oud Metha, Dubai. More than 30 students and four international artists are taking part. The event is organized with support from Dubai Police, Dubai Police Academy, and Himaya Schools.
Dr. Hamdan Khalifa Al Shaer, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, officially opened the exhibition on behalf of the Chairman, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed bin Fahad. This is the first edition of the exhibition, which aims to raise awareness about the environment through art. The Foundation also launched a documentary book that explains the scientific and artistic ideas behind the artworks. The book focuses on the desert climate, soil, water, and air in the UAE. It helps visitors understand the connection between art and the environment.
The exhibition highlights five main themes: land repair, desertification, water conservation, the role of women in environmental reform, and Dubai’s efforts to fight climate change. These topics align with the UAE’s 2030 National Green Agenda. The event shows how art can be a powerful way to spread knowledge about protecting nature.
The Foundation works closely with local institutions to promote environmental education. Dubai Police and the Police Academy help raise awareness among their members. Himaya Schools support young students who contribute their art to the exhibition. The collaboration encourages the community to engage with environmental issues.
Visitors to the exhibition can see creative works that reflect important environmental challenges. The artworks use different styles and materials to express the urgent need for action. This event is the first major environmental art show in Dubai. It aims to inspire people to think about sustainability in new ways.
