ENOC Group and DP World have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen emergency and fire response capabilities across Dubai’s key energy and logistics infrastructure. The agreement was signed at ENOC’s headquarters by the leaders of both companies. This partnership aims to improve safety and readiness at important sites, supporting Dubai’s position as a global trade and energy hub.
The MoU requires both companies to conduct joint emergency drills every year. These exercises will help improve training, preparedness, and response times of their emergency teams. The companies will also update their emergency plans regularly and follow shared procedures to coordinate quickly with outside help when needed. This combined effort will boost their ability to handle unexpected incidents and create safer infrastructure.
ENOC opened its first Emergency Response Centre in Jebel Ali in 2022, working with Dubai Civil Defence. This center is designed to provide quick and effective emergency services. Recently, members of ENOC’s emergency team completed specialized training at the International Fire Training Centre in the UK. This training improved their skills in managing hazardous materials, assessing fire risks, and carrying out complex rescue missions, especially in the oil and gas sector.
This partnership comes at a time when the industry is focusing more on integrated risk management in busy zones like Jebel Ali. As trade grows and infrastructure becomes more connected, cooperation between companies like ENOC and DP World is key to better emergency preparedness. The move away from isolated emergency responses toward joint efforts follows global best practices for safety in high-risk industrial areas.
The agreement also supports Dubai’s wider plan to be a global leader in infrastructure safety and operational stability. As the city increases its role in logistics and energy, strong emergency response systems will help protect vital facilities and support ongoing growth.
